Allendale Charter Twp, MI — This was an awesome opportunity for the 6 golfers that played in Grand Haven's Jamboree. We played at American Dunes Golf Club on Wednesday, May 3rd. The course was in pristine condition and unfortunately, the team didn't play up to par. Green-side bunkers guarding each hole, along with waster bunkers through the fairway made for a few intimidating golf shots. The team struggles to battle the windy conditions of the golf courses located by Lake Michigan, but lucky for us, this is the last jamboree on the lakeshore and there's still a chance at the conference title. We will need to control what we can control and play well for the last few jamborees and come ready to play at the post-season tournament. Monday's jamboree is at Sunnybrook, so it will be great to get a sneak peak at the course that we will be playing for regionals.
