Battle in the Desert
The Hemet Bulldogs came out to the desert to take on another desert school, this time against the Golden Eagles of Desert Hot Springs. Hemet was able to get an early lead when Fabian was assisted by Oscar from the right wing with an excellent cross on the ground at the five minute mark. Five minutes later a cross by Oscar was finished with a header by the always dangerous Dawson to put the dogs up 2-0 at the 10 min mark. A goal by DHS made things interesting. 20 minutes later an amazing through ball by freshmen Ben increased the lead 3-1 at the 29th minute. Unfortunate for the dogs a handball in the area resulted in a penalty kick that was blocked by Golie Shorty but the rebound was tapped in by DHS. lookinto to keep the lead the dogs went into the second half strong and played their passing game. The Eagles didn’t let up and were able to push the dogs back and with constant pressure were able to get two goals in the second half that lead them to the 4-3 victory over the Hemet bulldogs.
