JV Caledonia Fighting Scots Defeats Byron Center Junior Varsity Bulldogs Despite Allowing 3-Run Inning

Caledonia, MI — Even though JV Caledonia Fighting Scots gave up three runs in the fifth inning, they still defeated Byron Center Junior Varsity Bulldogs 7-4 on Saturday. Eli Farrow, Carter Ricketts, and Blake Stelma all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
JV Caledonia Fighting Scots got things moving in the first inning, when Tucker Murray drew a walk, scoring one run.
Ben Kieliszewski led things off on the pitcher's mound for JV Caledonia Fighting Scots. The righty surrendered one run on three hits over four innings, striking out two and walking one.
Kevin Lopez led things off on the hill for Byron Center Junior Varsity Bulldogs. Lopez went three innings, allowing five runs on three hits and striking out two. Zach Wieber threw three innings out of the bullpen.
Brogan Hacht went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead JV Caledonia Fighting Scots in hits. JV Caledonia Fighting Scots stole six bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Colin Kowatch led the way with two.
Stelma led Byron Center Junior Varsity Bulldogs with two hits in four at bats.
