Fullerton, CA — JV boys upped league record to 2 wins, 1 loss with solid win over the Servite Friars 15-3 at Fullerton Tennis Center. MVP honors go to those who won 100% of sets played: Max Chiotis w/ Logan Lebsack (3 for 3); Andrew Whitehead w/ Sam Gou (2 for 2); Michael Aceves (1 for 1); Thomas Gormley (2 for 2); Luke Krolikowski (2 for 2); HB Warner (3 for 3). Jacob LeBrun and Nicholas Barrios went 2 for 3 at line 1 doubles, picking up play after a first round loss on stadium court. Luke’s long, opening round win was important because he tired out their top player, giving Thomas and HB better opportunities to beat him as well. HB played 3 sets of singles today, staying in for the final round to play and defeat their top player. Likewise, Luke and Max stayed in round 3 to get the opportunity to play the Friar’s top doubles team, and played a strong set, winning as well. Next up (weather permitting): Thursday, March 31st at Santa Margarita, 3pm. This is an extra, non-league “friendly” set up because Orange Lutheran has no JV team.
