"We can only do so much, then they need to get out and play." The MVP tabs on BLAST are limited, but ALL6 starters are MVPs AND the FIVE SUBS we put in to doubles kept up their end of the bargain. When was the last time we clinched a Mater Dei match by end of 2nd round!? When is the last time our doubles swept all 9 doubles spots vs Mater Dei, maybe never. Doubles teams were; Gary Davidson/Connor Faul, Mikey Junge/Marco Belciano, and Charlie Vogel/Cade Faul. Their subs in round 3 were Peter Zhang/Emilio Delgado, HB Warner/Hudson Aase and Joe Bond [with Gary]. Zach, Brady and Cole could only manage to get 1 little game off of Mater Dei's #1 player, Zach was able to... Zach and Brady took 2 sets vs lines 2 and 3 , while Cole took one vs line 3, but battled heroically in a loss at line 2. A great crowd showed up and with swimming, baseball, Lacrosse and Beach volleyball, the energy was fantastic.... The Lions hope to carry that over into next week at SM GO LIONS !!!
