Anacortes, WA — In a tight back and forth match, Burlington was able to edge the Seahawks 1-0. The Tigers took the lead in the 63rd minute by taking advantage of a Seahawk defensive miscue with precise through ball and finish. Anacortes battled back and produced several quality chances, but just couldn’t find the back of the net. Coach’s Commentary - Burlington is an excellent squad that is very well coached. As state runners up last year, we knew we would have our hands full, but I’m really proud of the effort and intensity that the guys demonstrated on the field. We were missing key players due to eligibility and grades, but the boys stepped up and represented well. It was one of those games that could have gone either way, and we unfortunately came up short.
