Wheat Ridge, CO — The TJ Spartans got their first win of the 2023 campaign with an 18-3 victory over the Wheat Ridge Farmers. Wheat Ridge opened the scoring with 2 runs in the first but TJ answered with 4 runs in the second and third innings. After the Farmers scored a run in the 3rd, the game was knotted at 8-3 until a 10 run outburst in the 6th inning gave the Spartans the run rule win. Max Hauer was the winning pitcher throwing 3 innings allowing 3 runs (1 earned) with 5 Ks. Curtis Redfearn earned his first career save throwing the final 3 innings (1 hit, 0 runs, 7 Ks).
