Alhambra, CA — A walk-off left the SPHS Tigers on the wrong end of a 7-6 defeat to Mark Keppel on Friday 3/3. Keppel trailed 6-4 in the bottom of the 7th inning when a bases loaded triple scored 3 runs for the Keppel 7-6 win. Despite the loss, the Tigers did collect 8 hits in the high-scoring affair. Keppel had 7 hits on the way to their victory. The Tigers got on the board in the 1st inning when Annika Selsby singled to score a run. Daphne Malatesta followed with a single to score 2 more runs. The Tigers scored another run in the 2nd inning, but Keppel put up 2 in the 6th to tie the game. The Tigers took the lead in the top of the 7th on Danica Stirling's double down the left field line with 2 runners on base. However, Keppel came back in the bottom of the 7th to score 3 runs and take the win.
