Dutchmen show some "Bravery" against returning Section Champs Octorara
Octorara Area 43, Annville-Cleona 106
Annville, PA — The Annville-Cleona Track and Field team had a split meet on a beautiful spring Tuesday against Octorara. The Girls team came away victorious (106-43) while the Boys team suffered their second loss of the season (37-113). The girls team recorded sweeps in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, all the relays, long jump, and pole vault. The boys team was competitive both on the track and in the field but reigning Section Champs Octorara had a lot of depth on the track.
On the girls side, the 4x800 relay, 4x100 relay, and 4x400 were all victorious as well as the following individuals: Kendall Cooper (100,200, & 400), Mackenzie Stellmach (3200), Claire Hoover (High Jump), Emily Shuey (Long Jump), Madi Long (Triple Jump), Caitlin Shay (Pole Vault), and Sage Sherk (Shot Put)
On the boys side, the 4x800 relay was victorious as well as the following individual: David Moran (400). Although individual wins did not occur, many of the boys hit either season or lifetime bests in their events. This information can be found in the PR sheet that is attached!
Once again, the captains had some tough decisions with selecting our "Dutchmen of the Meet". Our 8 team captains selected teammates based on their attitudes, efforts, and performances from our meet.
