Oro Grande, CA — On a windy and cold February afternoon, the Varsity Tigers came up just short in a game against Riverside Prep 5-3.
Pitching was strong, with Ben Petrillo and Benjamin Regan on the hill. While the temperature was low, the bats were hot as the Tigers had seven hits. Jason Yipp had two and Griffin Johnson went 3 for 4 on the day.
In the seventh inning, Jack Holley and Johnson had back-to-back doubles, bringing the Tigers within two runs of their opponent.
