Fairfield, CA — Vanden got things started in the first inning when Bryce Alcantara doubled on a 1-0 count down the left field line, scoring Aidan Robles and Alex Maushart two runs.Next batter Jack Tranchina doubled scoring Dalen Shipp and Alcantara. In the bottom of the 5th Alcantara struck again as he singled in two-runs driving in Robles and Maushart once again. The Vikings scored their last run when Kaleb Munstermann stole second and the Cougars threw the ball away scoring Shipp for the seventh and final run. Trevor Morse led the Vanden Vikings Varsity to victory on the hill. The righty went two innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out one and walking zero. David (DJ) Anderson, Chris Marley, and Alex Maushart all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
