Parlin, NJ — Bombers fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 11-1 loss to Monroe Falcons on Wednesday. Monroe Falcons scored on a single by Ortiz and a walk by Wallace in the first inning. The Bombers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Monroe Falcons, giving up 11 runs. Monroe Falcons opened up scoring in the first inning. Ortiz drove in one when Ortiz singled. Monroe Falcons scored eight runs in the fourth inning. Monroe Falcons offense in the inning was led by Lane, Lollin, White, LoBue, McCauley, and Sellari, who each had RBIs in the inning. Wallace was credited with the victory for Monroe Falcons. The bulldog went four innings, allowing zero runs on three hits and striking out seven. Barbera threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Jake Romanello took the loss for Bombers. Romanello went two-thirds of an inning, allowing two runs on one hit. Michael Novak, Michael Colonnello, Aayush Mehta, and Aidan Crimmins all had one hit to lead Bombers. Lane went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Monroe Falcons in hits. --
