Iselin, NJ — Bombers watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 12-2 loss to JFK Mustangs Varsity on Monday. JFK Mustangs Varsity scored on a walk by Coleman, a single by Portorreal, a double by Mellage, and a single by Ricourt in the first inning. The Bombers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing JFK Mustangs Varsity, giving up 12 runs. JFK Mustangs Varsity got things started in the first inning. Coleman drew a walk, scoring one run. Claiborne got the start for JFK Mustangs Varsity. The ace allowed five hits and two runs over four innings, striking out four. James Kehoe was on the pitcher's mound for Bombers. Kehoe lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing three hits and six runs while striking out two. Logan Kaufman and AJ Zapoticzny entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three and two-thirds innings and one and one-third innings respectively. Bombers hit one home run on the day.
