Woodbridge, NJ — Bombers defeated Woodbridge Barrons 3-0 on Saturday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Aayush Mehta struck out Valdez to finish off the game.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Bombers pitchers struck out eight, while Woodbridge Barrons pitchers sat down nine.
Bombers got things moving in the first inning. Bombers scored one run when Michael Colonnello singled.

Thomas Schlaline was credited with the victory for Bombers. The righthander surrendered zero runs on three hits over six innings, striking out six. Mehta threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Mehta recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Bombers.
