Burbank, CA — The Varsity Tigers ended their preseason on Wednesday with a 3-3 tie against John Burroughs High School. Ben Petrillo and Jon Brocamonte were solid on the mound striking out five batters each. In the seventh inning, with the Tigers down by one run, Quinn Sterling hit a rope to center field while the speedy Nathan Olivarez scored from second to tie the game up. The season begins on Saturday, February 11 with a home game against Salesian at 10 a.m.
