Owen Woodworth pitched six strong innings to lead the Tigers to victory
South Pasadena, CA — The Varsity Tigers beat Lincoln 5-1 Saturday to extend their winning streak to four. South Pasadena followed its winning script again with six strong innings from the starter, Owen Woodworth this time. Owen had seven strikeouts while giving up only one run. Carlo Maling pitched the seventh inning, striking out 1 and keeping the Lincoln bats quiet.
On the offensive side, Griffin Johnson led the team with two hits. Jason Yipp, Devin Robinson, Raphi Hall, and Will Guy each had a hit.
South Pasadena now looks forward to the matchup with Warren High on Monday, February 20.
