South Pasadena, CA — In a hard fought season opener, the Tigers emerged victorious over Salesian by scoring three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Timely hitting, patient at bats, and smart base running by Luke Riffle, Jason Yipp, Quinn Sterling, Nathan Olivarez, and Jude Felix were the key to the Tigers' late-inning magic. Nolan Adams had an excellent outing, pitching six innings with six strikeouts, earning the first win of the season. Sophomore Benjamin Regan slammed the door shut in the top of the seventh inning for his first save of the season. Tiger bats came alive in the Saturday contest, with 11 total hits and a multi-hit game for Luke Riffle, Jason Yipp, and Raphi Hall. Overall, it was a tremendous start to what is sure to be a fantastic 2023 for Tiger Baseball!
