Zeeland, MI — With four seconds left the Sailors had to go the length of the court to score and take the lead in a tight back and forth game at Zeeland West. A pass threw from under the basket past half court fell into the right hands at the right time for the Sailors. It proved to be an answered prayer as Ezra Carefelle caught it and passed it to Tyrese Hill for the game winner as time expired. Hill played his best game of the season scoring 16 points despite facing foul trouble which forced him to miss much of the 4th quarter. Zay Knox’s 20 points and hot shooting from three point land kept the Sailors in the game and in striking distance and Hill finished the deal. Milo Barangan also also added 8 points and played big inside blocking shots and guarding Zeeland’s best post player.
