Parsippany, NJ — The Parsippany Hills football team opened its season with a 34-6 victory over River Dell on Thursday night. Junior running back Julio Tatis rushed for 152 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries for the Vikings, who led, 21-6, at halftime. Tatis gave Par Hills a lead with a 20-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and Joshua Griffith kicked the extra point to give the Vikings a 7-0 edge. In the second quarter, Tatis ran for a 3-yard TD and Connor Johannesen of Par Hills returned a fumble 20 yards as the Vikings opened a 21-0 lead. Jake Simoni's 77-yard TD pass to Joe Reilly in the third quarter boosted Par Hills' advantage to 28-6. Tatis' third TD run of the game, a 14-yarder later in the third quarter, finished the scoring. Simoni completed 12 of 22 passes for 275 yards for the Vikings. Reilly had five receptions for 172 yards, and Joe Ciccotelli caught four passes for 46 yards in the victory.
