South Pasadena, CA — Team captains: Zach Lee, Alessandro Jemai, David Eisenberg and Trey Freking MVP's Offense - Trey Freking - RB - 4 touchdowns and 138 yards rushing. Defense - David Eisenberg - DB - 2 interception, with a 40 yard TD return. Special Teams - Cameron Park - QB and LS - 7 perfect snaps on PAT and leading the second offensive unit. We are now 2-0 in the Rio Hondo League and 7-0 overall. We still have lots of work to do. Our defense was able to intercept the ball 3 times this game and get 3-4 sacks. Our first unit is solid and with each week it gets better. We had second team players Nate Girvigian, Baron Shroff, Andy Yang and Nick Mathew step up this week and help make our defensive unit stronger. Our offense was a scoring machine. Scoring a touchdown in our first 3 possessions to go up 21-0 in the first quarter. Trey Freking scored 3 rushing and 1 receiving touchdown to lead the team. His longest run was 47 yards to the end zone! We ran the Sweep 10 times this game scoring 3 times. Our Freshmen have a game this Friday vs Hoover. Next week we travel to La Canada High School.
