Recap
Rochester, MI — Rochester Adams – 35
West Bloomfield – 18 Final
It was another packed house for the Highlanders – drones flying overhead, food truck lining the fence, and the #2 Team in the state on the opposing sidelines.
The Highlander kicked of to start the game, held the Lakers and the first play from scrimmage was attempted pass to Brady Prieskorn. Adams marched, but stalled and was forced to punt with 4:24 to go in the first quarter. The defense held, and a botched punt by the Lakers gave the Highlanders the ball on the Laker 35-yard line. A subsequent field goal attempt by the Highlanders was unsuccessful, and the score remain unchanged to end the first quarter.
Early in the second quarter, the Highlanders got great field position when the Lakers had to punt, and with 11:55 to go in the second quarter, Nick Pater took it to the end zone to tie the score –

A series of strange events lead the Lakers to a 4th Down & 48 to go situation, where they set up for a punt. A low snap caused the punter to kneel when he caught the ball, giving the Highlanders the ball at that spot. This was a gift of great field position at the 24-yard line. With 13 seconds to go in the third quarter, Parker Picot connected with Brady Prieskorn for another Adams touchdown – extra point again good!
W. Bloom - 10
Adams – 35 (End of 3Q)

From here the ball would change hands a few times, but the score would not. The Highlander’s Defensive effort was great on a day they had to be. The #2 ranked team in the state, with considerable speed, was held to just 18 points on the day. Parker Picot took a knee to end the game and the Highlanders celebrated a big win!
