Recap
JS FS defeats Edison for first time in several years.
San Juan Capistrano, CA — First and foremost, KUDOS to our DH-2 squad who almost beat this Edison team in the first match of the year, while DH-1 was taking care of San Clemente. This was a “tough out” today, had we not won 4 of 5 tie-breaker sets, we would have lost again 8-10.
For that reason, MVP honors go out to those who won these critical tie-breaker sets:
Lucca Lutz and Chloe Gallaher; Sammy Ringgold and Emily Meyer; Riley Godber twice! …one w Bryanna Noorian, other w sister Abby. In 3 of these 4 wins, our girls battled back to force the tie-breakers, which was huge for us. Well done ladies!
Joining the 100% club today, winning all sets played, kudos to: line one doubles trio of GG Fernandez, Chiara Manta, Kate Layk; line 3 doubles trio of Ella Joutz, Elliana Castro, Maddy Valente; and Molly Harrington with Gia Banks-Meeker who paired for an opening round set win. Well played!
Next up: Friday, Sept. 30th. Double Header!
DH-1 home vs San Clemente. DH-2 at Fountain Valley.
