Huntington Beach, CA — [recap by Coach Wilson] It was a beautiful morning for tennis in Huntington Beach on Saturday. We had many parents, siblings, grandparents, and others come out to support our Lady Lions! The girls increased the score from our last match against HB with 2 more sets won, with a score of 6-12. JSerra had a pretty balanced attack, winning 4 sets of singles and 2 sets of doubles. Singles action: Riley Godber won 2 sets at line 3 with Maddy Valente winning 1 set in the same spot. GG Fernandez won 1 set at line 1 singles with many long rallies and close points. Doubles action: Abby Godber won 2 sets at number 1 doubles, one set each with partners Ella Joutz and Chiara Manta. The girls are improving day by day and are continuing to put up a good fight! Next up: at La Quinta (Westminster) on Monday, 2:30pm.
