San Juan Capistrano, CA — Mathematically and officially, JSerra’s JV team is now the 2022 Trinity League Champions. With one easy dual match remaining vs Orange Lutheran, the team should remain undefeated in league for the 2nd time in school history. We sat some starters today, sub’d out the others to allow girls from the alternate travel squads A & B to see some “league” action. We’re honoring those from the A & B squads who won 100% of their sets played as MVP’s, along with Jacqueline Poli and Colette Chang who have attended all the matches and filled in as needed. Jordan Gross won both sets of doubles played today, one with Siena, another with Hemsley. Siena Livak won her other set with Colette, who switched to singles (thank you) and for her 2nd set win. Our S squad, who played a shortened match, accounted for most of the other wins: Ava and Olivia, Sophia Staff with Jacqueline, Natalia and Sophia Stewart + Caitlyn Davidson, Bella Aftabi and Hailey Klein who all played singles. Great team effort today ladies! Due to an extra long singles match in the first round, won by Caitlyn Davidson, coaches agreed to not play the final 2 singles matches, and split those unplayed sets 1-1 for a final of 15-3.
