Fullerton, CA — The Lions traveled up the the 57 today and promptly opened up a quick 6-0 lead over Rosary and never looked back; taking round 2 and 3, sweeping 5 of 6 sets in both of these latter rounds. EVERYONE listed here won every set they played, too many for the official MVP list: Anna w/ Cordelia then Fionnuola , Sophie w/ Kylie, Jazi w/ Gabbi, then Scarlett and Elise sweeping their respective 3 singles sets easily. Ellie was down 2-3 before sweeping4 straight games for a 1st round victory. Anna and Cordelia came from a 2-4 deficit in round 1 to defeat the Royals #1 doubles team 6-4. Rosary is in the rebuilding phase and has 30+ girls in their program, but, currently is no match for our varsity or JV, who won15-3 at home. It was fun to see Fionnuola matched with Anna, they have been in our program before officially becoming Lions. Fionnuola will be named the 'honorary' MVP on everyone's behalf! JSerra hosts OLu next Monday for Senior 'Night' before the league event, also at JSerra, next Wednesday and Thursday. GO LIONS!
