Rancho Santa Margarita, CA — JSerra girls handed SM their first Trinity League loss today picking up 12 sets while dropping only 6. Doubles picked up 7 sets with singles adding the additional 5. Kylie Davidson with partner Sophie Moncur swept all 3 sets convincingly earning them MVP honors . The Lions went up 4-2 after round 1 and were positioned to maybe sweep 5 of the 6 sets in round 2, but, SM fought back for a 3-3 split, leaving JSerra a 2 set lead. KOach figured we would be in good shape in a 9-9 game count, that was not necessary as the girls buckled down and swept 5 of the remaining 6 sets. We have a Trinity bye Thursday, so, we will keep working hard chasing the title. Go Lions!
