Newbury Park, CA — Another night, another big performance for freshman quarterback Brady Smigiel and the undefeated Panthers. Smigiel completed 14 of 19 pass attempts for 235 yards and four touchdowns and had one rushing touchdown. He had three carries for 25 yards. The freshman has led Newbury Park to a 3-0 start to the season. Nolan Story rushed for 107 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 11 carries as the Panthers piled up 189 rushing yards. Terrance Waddell rushed for 53 yards and one touchdowns on just two carries. Seven different Panthers caught passes, including Charlie Simmons with four catches for 55 yards and one touchdown. Casey Knieriem caught a 42-yard scoring pass and Shane Rosenthal had three catches for 37 yards. Newbury Park (3-0) will host St. Joseph this Friday night.
