Canfield, OH — On Saturday the Spartans played a DH with Canfield and took game 1 10-4. The Spartans were lead by Kevin Pekkanen with 2 hits and 3 RBI’s while Lanny Burton added 2 hits as well. Luke Leonard and Ryan Conti also chipped in with RBI’s. Burton also got the win on the mound in game 1. Dylan Barrett pitched a strong 2.2 inn to save the victory. In game 2 the Spartans took a hard fought loss 10-8. Boardman was lead by a huge day from Ryan Conti who went 4-4 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Luke Leonard also had 2 hits along with Kevin Pekkanen and Charlie Young.
