Harvard, IL — The Zee Bees stayed in it until the end, but Harvard pulled away late in an 8-5 victory on Saturday. The game was tied at five with Harvard batting in the bottom of the sixth when the Hornets drew a walk, scoring one run. The Zee Bees got things started in the first inning when Andrew Carlson doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. Ryan Dunne took the loss for Zion-Benton Varsity Zee Bees. The righty allowed one hit and two runs over one inning, striking out two. Rafael Villalobos started the game for the Bees. The righthander lasted four innings allowing six hits while striking out seven The Zee Bees tallied seven hits in the game. Carlson and Trevor Hutchison all managed multiple hits for the Zee Bees. Villalobos, Henry Stried, and Dominic Diliberti also contributed a hit each. The Zee-Bees are back in action on Monday against Mundelein.
