Peoria, AZ — The Athletics scored two runs in the top of the first inning to take the early lead. The Firecrackers came back with 3 of their own in the bottom half of the inning. Kamryn Davis led off with a base hit and was sacrificed to second. Bella Martinez singled knocking in Davis. Corissa Sweet hit a slap single to short giving the Firecrackers first and second with one out. With two outs Shelbie Valencia doubled to the gap scoring Sweet and Charlotte Forniss who had reached on a fielders choice. The Athletics added a run in third and took the lead with an unearned run in the top of the fourth. Sydney Soto led off the bottom half of the fourth with a base hit. Kamryn Davis hit a ball towards third and the throw to first was off target. Soto took third and Davis advanced to second. Maddie Gaines hit a ground ball to third and Soto took home on the throw to first. With Davis on second, Bella Martinez drew a two out walk. Corissa Sweet came to the plate and with a 1-2 count lined a single into left field scoring Kamryn Davis giving the Firecrackers a 5-4 lead. Time expired giving the Firecrackers the victory. Lexi Miramontes and Savi Coyle each pitched two innings to get the win.
