San Juan Capistrano, CA — Happy Birthday present to Coach Wilson: Frosh / Soph posts 3rd win of the season and was able to do something Varsity and JV could not do - beat Foothill. Congrats guys, great match. MVP honors go to those winning all 3 sets in today’s ALL DOUBLES format: Sam Asadi with Andrew Whitehead at #1 doubles; Christopher Kempf with Ronan McKeagney at #4 doubles. These 2 doubles teams gave us 6 of our 11 set wins today - well done! Huge shout out to Wesley Ulz and Cruz Wilkinson who “cruised” to TWO set wins in the first and 2nd rounds. These guys have improved a lot and had a great afternoon! Also winning 2 of 3 sets played, kudos to Captain Landon Sachs and Logan Lebsack. After splitting their first 2 sets, they moved up to court #1 and beat the top Foothill team 6-2! This was an exceptional set. Isaac Nguyen and “other” Captain Sean Do, beat the #3 team after losing a tough tie-breaker vs the top team in the 2nd round….but they wore them out for Landon and Logan. Good job guys.
