Chardon, OH — The Boardman Freshmen Baseball team extended their winning streak to four games as they defeated Notre Dame Cathedral Latin 12-2. Once again the Spartans received good pitching. Mason Nawrocki gave 5 strong innings, giving up only one run and striking out 12. Aaron Glista finished the game with a strong relief inning. Offensively the Spartans were led by a huge day from Landon Whippo who finished 4-4 with a homerun, two doubles, and 6 RBIs. Kaden Mayhew added two hits and three runs scored and Cory Pekkanen added a hit as well. Ivan Rudiak, Grayson Eicher, Jayden Doerr, and Sean O’Mellan each scored and Max Switka added an RBI.
