Ashland, OH — The Boardman Freshmen Baseball team earned their first victory of the season with a 10-2 win against Crestview. The Spartans were led by a terrific pitching performance from Mason Nawrocki who pitched a complete game no hitter with seven strikeouts along the way. The boys also used a team effort on the offensive end as nine different batters earned a hit. Ivan Rudiak went 2-4 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs, Landon Whippo went 2-4 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs, and Cory Pekkanen went 1-3 with 2 RBIs. Tommy Varley, Kaden Mayhew, Grayson Eicher, Aaron Glista, Dom Pizzo, and Nawrocki each added a hit.
