OH — Boardman Freshmen Baseball Team fell 14-4 against Austintown Fitch in their season opener. The Spartans fell behind late after giving up a 10 run second inning and were never able to get back into the game. Kaden Mayhew, Ivan Rudiak, Grayson Eicher, Mason Nawrocki, Tommy Varley, Aaron Glista, Max Switka, and Jayden Doerr each had a hit. Mayhew led the team with 2 RBIs. The Spartans will look to get back on track with a double header against Chardon on Saturday.
