Newton, MA — Our first game this season started off slowly, coming off not holding practice yesterday due to a variety of conflicts and missing 3 of our players today for the same reason. Not knowing what to expect, Coach Desmond and I watched as we won the coin toss, started on defense, and then promptly gave up 6 points on the opening drive. Seth, however, broke up the conversion try with an interception. We bounced back with a quick score when Finn hit Atley for our first TD of the year. Then we scored again on our next possession, this time a contested ball to Atley in endzone, and we also go the 2 point conversion to Ellis to make it 14-6. After another defensive stop, we unfortunately gave up another TD on a turnover and it was 14-12 at the half. After that, all Rams! Seth connected with Brady on a long RPO for a score, Finn hooked up with Seth for the extra point. A couple more TDs tossed from Finn to Hernan and Brady with a sweet toe tap sealed the deal :) Room for improvement but definitely off to a great start - hope to have the full squad when we get back after in on April 24.
