Martino Drives in Four to Easton Area Freshman Rover Victory Over Whitehall

Whitehall, PA — Michael Martino was clutch at the plate with runners on base on Friday night, driving in four on two hits to lead The Rovers past Whitehall 15-4 on Friday night. Martino drove in runs on a single in the first and a double in the second. Martino, Santoro, and Galiotto combine for 10 RBIs in Friday nights contest.
Easton got on the board in the first inning when Rowan Galiotto ripped the first pitch of the at bat down the line for a bases clearing triple, scoring three runs. Jake Santoro also added a bases clearing triple in the second, scoring three runs.
Zachary Mattes pitched the Easton Red Rovers to victory. Mattes went three innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out two. Liam Gilligan threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Talon Dogmanits toed the rubber for Whitehall. The pitcher lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing seven hits and eight runs while striking out one. Nikolas Christman, Jacob Hannis, Adnan Haddad, and Dylan Grohotolsky each entered the game as relief, throwing one and one-third innings, one inning, one inning, and one inning respectively.
The Rovers had 12 hits in the game. Martino and Galiotto each collected two hits to lead The Rovers. Easton was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Khamryn Singto had the most chances in the field with three.
Kamren Morris led Whitehall with two hits in his two at bats.
