Nazareth, PA — Easton Rovers JV watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 9-1 loss to Nazareth Area on Thursday. Nazareth took the lead on a three-run home run in the first inning and also tallied three runs in the fifth. The Easton Area Rovers JV struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively, committing four errors and giving up nine runs. Gavin Gruber toed the rubber for Easton Rovers JV. The hurler surrendered six runs on 12 hits over four innings, striking out four. Matthew Zingales and Colin Jackson entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and one inning respectively. Nazareth Area tallied two home runs and 15 total hits on the day. Angelo Sonsini, Anton Secero, Alex Laquintano, Harol Rodriguez, and Anthony Suffness each managed one hit to lead Easton Area Rovers JV.
