Easton, PA — Easton Area Rovers JV managed through a push by Pleasant Valley in the fifth inning where Easton Area Rovers JV coughed up three runs, but Easton Area Rovers JV still won 11-4 on Saturday.
After Pleasant Valley scored three runs in the top of the fifth, Easton Area Rovers JV answered with three of their own. Easton Area Rovers JV then answered when Alex Laquintano tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Nolan Fuller singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, and Spencer Brooking singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Easton Area Rovers JV pulled away for good with five runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Anthony Suffness drew a walk, scoring one run, Brooking doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs, and Harol Rodriguez singled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs.
Gavin Gruber was credited with the victory for Easton Area Rovers JV. The bulldog lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out eight. Colin Jackson and Fuller entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
