Easton, PA — The Easton Area Red Rovers managed through a push by East Stroudsburg South in the first inning where coughed up three runs, but still won 10-4 on Friday. East Stroudsburg South batters contributing to the big inning with a triple and a 2 run Home Run. In the bottom of the first inning, Easton tied things up at three. Blake Heitzman had a Sac Fly and Stephen Ricicki hit into a fielder's choice to help the Rovers. Easton pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth George Thomas doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. The Rovers put up four runs in the sixth inning. Easton's offense in the inning was led by Simeon Reed and Ethan Reccek, who drove in runs. Ryan Taynton was the winning pitcher for Easton. The righty lasted three and a third innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out three and walking one. Huffman was on the mound for East Stroudsburg South. Huffman surrendered five runs on two hits over four innings, striking out three. Reed and Heitzman went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Easton in hits. The Rovers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Easton moves to 6-0 and plays division rival Freedom on Monday April 11 at Freedom High School at 4pm.
