Whitehall, PA — Quinn Campbell was an RBI machine on Wednesday, driving in five on three hits to lead Easton Area Freshman Rovers past Whitehall 9-6 on Wednesday. Campbell drove in runs on a double in the first, a double in the third, a double in the fifth, and a in the sixth. There was plenty of action on the basepaths as Easton Area Freshman Rovers collected 11 hits and Whitehall had two. Easton Area Freshman Rovers fired up the offense in the first inning. Campbell doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs. In the bottom of the second inning, Whitehall tied things up at two. Donato Brigidi hit into a fielder's choice, scoring one run. Easton Area Freshman Rovers pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Campbell doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Zach Wagner pitched Easton Area Freshman Rovers to victory. The bulldog allowed zero hits and three runs over four innings, striking out six. Zach Mattes and jacob hackman entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Mattes recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Easton Area Freshman Rover.
