Panama City Beach, FL — Arnold Varsity Marlins grabbed an early lead on its way to a 7-3 victory over Mosley on Friday. Arnold Varsity Marlins scored on a walk by Sam Mudge in the first inning, a fielder's choice by Cooper Moss in the first inning, and a single by Warrick Wilmot in the second inning. Arnold Varsity Marlins scored three runs in the sixth inning. Mudge and Moss all drove in runs in the frame. Moss led things off on the hill for Arnold Varsity Marlins. The righty allowed three hits and one run over five innings, striking out 11. Hudson Rowan led things off on the pitcher's mound for Mosley. The hurler went three innings, allowing four runs on one hit and striking out four. Mason Rodgers and Nate Maret entered the game as relief, throwing two and a third innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively. Wilmot went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Arnold Varsity Marlins in hits. Luke Elmore led Mosley with two hits in two at bats. Mosley was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Jacob Payne had the most chances in the field with nine. This was the second time in history of Arnold Varsity Marlins beating Mosley.
