New Wilmington, PA — The Barons had to show their battling spirit in game 2 of the twin bill against the Butler Blue Sox at Westminster College. The Barons fell behind by 3 in the 4th inning however, in the 5th inning the Battling Barons found a way to piece it together to grab the victory and the sweep. At the plate for the Barons they put a team effort together, Nico Hall and Brett Bobin captured two doubles, Nick Vitale and Anthony Ryan also had hits and an RBI each, and Ethan Bintrim stayed on his hitting train to help propel the Barons to victory. On the mound Ethan Bintrim entered the game in the 5th inning and held the Blue Sox to no runs and acquired the win for himself. The Barons travel to Butler tomorrow to play the Butler Iron Bucks in a double header for the top seed in the division. Game one’s first pitch is scheduled to be thrown at 4pm, see you there!
