Newtown High School’s softball team posted a 25-0 victory over host and South-West Conference opponent Bunnell of Stratford on April 11. Coming off consecutive shutout losses to tough FCIAC foes St Joseph of Trumbull (3-0 on April 4) and Danbury (1-0 on April 8), the Nighthawks needed just five innings to score more than two dozen in this mercy-rule performance.
