Irvine, CA — JSerra overturns earlier 3-15 loss with a resounding 13-5 win at Crean Lutheran this afternoon. How’d that happen?….with a full, complete team. Last match had half the team at the Beckmann Tournament, today the Lion Pride was in full force. We came 1 set away from “sweeping” singles, winning 8 of 9 sets. Kudos to MVP’s Sam Gou and Marco Belciano for winning all 3 sets played. Lucas Johnson picked up the 2 additional sets at line #3. Singles R-O-C-K-S!!! Finally picked up some doubles set wins. MVP honors to Max Chiotis and Cash Belciano who won 3 straight sets of doubles playing line #2. Mikey Junge and Nicholas Barrios took 2 of 3 doubles sets, losing only to the Saints best team in the opening round. Thanks to Logan Lebsack who stepped up from the Frosh / Soph team to help out, keeping us from forfeiting 3 sets. Next Up: Tuesday, March 8th home vs Segerstrom, 3pm.
