Dixon, CA — The 2022 Vanden Boys Volleyball Team off to a good start by beating Dixon High in three straight sets. The team starting lineup is assembled with three first year players. Nonetheless, the team looked cohesive by winning their first set convincingly without their senior star middle blocker Edwin Daugherty. The other senior star outsider hitter Noah Yi carried the team and provided plenty of highlights leading the team with 25 scores with 18 kills. The second set and third set, the team showed signs inexperience and letdown from other players. The players such as Alex Nelson, Darius Butler, and Dylan Hoang coming off the bench with timely plays to spark the team. As the players continue to improve their skills and gain additional experience during the season, we hope to bring you more highlights from other players. Please stay tuned!
