"The Four Horsemen" provided Seven Innings to clinch first Victory over Monrovia in 10 years
Monrovia, CA — South Pasadena Tigers Head Coach, Jaime Garcia develop a successful strategy to challege Monrovia High School. The result was South Pasadena's first win against Monrovia High School in 10 years.
Instead of having one of his three starters, Coach Jaime brought in his three left handed relief pitchers each providing two innings. Carlo Maling started the game followed by Luke Riffle and Jason Yipp. Ace Right Hander, Nolan Adams finshed the game to receive the win for South Pasadena. The "Four Horsemen" only allowed six hits, four runs and three walks.
South Pasadena Varsity Tigers had ten hits in the game. Jack Riffle, Joe Kazarian, Quinn Sterling, DJ Pearson, Devin Robinson and Ovy Garcia all had key hits in the game. Joe Kazarian provided a three run, home run in the fifth innings to surpase Monrovia and ultimately conclude the game to a final score of 6-4.
Prior to the game, South Pasadena Tigers honored the South Pasadena Police Department and had Officer Shannon Robeldo throw out the first pitch.
South Pasadena will be celebrating St. Patrick's Day and hosting Polytechnic High School (Sunland) on March 17th at 3:30 PM.
