Bethlehem Runs Away With Early Lead In Victory over BHBL JV Baseball

Delmar, NY — The BHBL Spartans JV baseball fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 22-4 loss to Bethlehem Central on Monday.
The Spartans struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Bethlehem Central, giving up 22 runs over 7 innings of baseball.
Bethlehem Central got on the board in the first inning when an error scored one run, leading the way for 11 runs in the first inning.
The Spartans notched three runs in the seventh inning. The offensive firepower by Burnt Hills was led by Tyler Bruno and Maddie Tse, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Seabode was on the pitcher's mound for Bethlehem and went two innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out four and walking zero.
Tristan Torres was on the mound to start the game for the Spartans. The southpaw went one-third of an inning, allowing ten runs on six hits. Tse and Dom Morey entered the game as relief, throwing three innings and two and two-thirds innings respectively.
Burnt Hills racked up nine hits on the day. Tse and Silas Marvin each racked up multiple hits for the Spartans.
Bethlehem racked up 24 hits in the game. Sleurs, Baltis, Gibbs, Grey, Turner, Mikulski, Barnes, and Bushart all managed multiple hits. Bethlehem was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Sleurs made the most plays with seven.
