Huntington Beach, CA — Frosh Soph Lions we’re outmatched today, losing to a very good Edison team 16-2. Good efforts were turned in by all; most doubles players got to play 2 sets each, while singles battled tough for 3 sets. Isaac Nguyen and Sean Do had a couple of close sets in singles with some longer rallies; however MVP Sam Asadi was the only singles player to notch a win - 2 in fact! Sam beat both their #2 & #3 players by identical scores of 6-3. Kudos to William Kante, David Manning and Christopher Kempf whose serves continue to improve in match play as a result of focused practice sessions. The wind at Edison is always tough to play in, and that’s a huge benefit for that home team. Next up: tomorrow, April 2nd, home vs Foothill, 1pm start, 12:30 warm-up.
