Lakewood, CA — JSerra outlasted the Braves and the heat today with a 16 - 2 victory over Bosco at Lakewood country club. Our doubles teams swept all 9 sets, making these student-athletes immediate MVPs Joe Bond with Jordan Gessin, Michael Woodward with Anthony Ashworth and Kenny Perez with Charlie Vogel. Gary Davidson coupled with his sub, Luke Krowlikowski took 3 in singles..while Brady Schaefgen swept all 3 of his sets, playing in the #1 slot today. KOach's 'line' gives home teams a plus +1 and this held true as the Lions took the home match vs Bosco 17 - 1 a couple of weeks ago. It was Jordan's first match at the varsity level as he was just called up to the 'bigs' yesterday. It proved to be a great move. He is a MVP, but, because he is listed on JV, his name will not populate in the varsity recap/records. The Lions will travel a couple of exits north, to Sage Hill for a big invitational tomorrow and Saturday morning, competing vs the likes of La Jolla and Peninsula and Sage Hill.
