Rancho Santa Margarita, CA — Our first meeting with SM this year was much closer; 7-11, but SM was missing their #3 player, allowing JSerra to sweep singles sets at line 3. Math work for me projected this to be a 4-14 struggle with maybe another additional SM set added for home-team advantage. [Like a 3pt swing in NFL for home team]. The boys competed well, most of the double's sets were close losses. SM's singles are very strong. Bright spot of the day was Brady and Gary knocking off SM's top team, who previously had only dropped 1 Trinity League set all year. KOach Kirk notes; "When I saw Gary and Brady on the court together on the first day of practice, I said to myself, those are the Trinity League Doubles Champions of 2022.
